Massage for Community Care
What if touch could be a simple, everyday way to care for one another?
Massage for Community Care (MFCC) is an 8-week, hands-on workshop series that helps everyday people build the confidence and skills to offer nurturing, consent-centered touch in their relationships and communities.
Many of us live touch-hungry lives. Safe, caring touch is often limited to healthcare settings, paid services, or romantic relationships — leaving many people with few ways to experience supportive connection in everyday life.
MFCC offers another path.
Together, we learn simple massage and nurturing touch practices that can:
This is not about becoming a professional massage therapist. It’s about learning how to show up for the people in your life with more presence, clarity, and care.
MFCC is rooted in anti-oppressive and non-extractive values. We recognize how power, access, and social conditioning shape our experiences of touch and the body. Here, we practice care in ways that center consent, agency, and mutual respect.
If you’re curious whether MFCC is a good fit, our FAQs walk through participation, accessibility, and what the series is like.

- Massage for Community Care is an evolving community education model. The initial pilot cohort was offered freely in order to listen deeply, learn in practice, and shape the foundation of the work. This upcoming series is offered as part of a continuing pilot phase, with reduced pricing that reflects the shared process of refinement as the curriculum continues to evolve. If you'd like to support the development of this work, you can donate to our GoFundMe campaign here.
- When funds are available, the Loom Collective Mutual Aid Fund may be used to offer community-supported admission for participants facing financial barriers. If cost would prevent you from attending, you’re welcome to email us at [email protected] to inquire about community-supported admission. Availability varies based on community support, and requests are handled with care.
